How many real bedrooms?
Fourteen advertised beds mean nothing if three of them are a sofa bed. Ask for the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. At Villa Terra: five bedrooms, five bathrooms, fourteen places, no sofa beds.
A price, or a range?
“From” almost always hides extras. Ask for the rate of the week you want, the housekeeping, the tourist tax and the deposit. Here: €10,906 to €20,505 a week, €650 housekeeping, €4.40 per person per night.
Exactly how far from the sea?
“Close to the beaches” means nothing. Ask for minutes, beach by beach. From Villa Terra: Saint-Cyprien and Cala Rossa ten minutes, Palombaggia twenty, Porto-Vecchio fifteen.
One group at a time?
Some “villas” share an estate, a pool or an access road. Ask whether the property is enclosed and whether another group can be on it. Here: 5,300 m² enclosed, one group, no through traffic.

What it really covers
Renting a whole villa is not renting large accommodation: it is being alone. No other guests, no staff sleeping on site unless you ask, no traffic past the property. That is the difference in kind from a hotel, and no level of service makes up for it.
Why the prices are public here
Almost every luxury villa in Corsica says “on request”. We publish the five seasons, the extras and the deposit. That is not generosity: a prospect who discovers the price after three email exchanges is a lost prospect, and often an annoyed one.
Ten minutes change everything
A villa at the water's edge lives with its neighbours and with the saturation of its beach in July and August. A hillside villa imposes ten minutes by car. Neither is better in the abstract — but one of the two matches your stay, and it is worth knowing which beforehand.

What does renting a luxury villa in southern Corsica cost?

Can a villa be rented by the night or for a weekend?
Rarely, and not here in high season. Rental runs by the week, Saturday to Saturday — the norm in southern Corsica, tied to flight patterns and linen changes. Out of season, some owners consider shorter formats case by case.
What should be checked before booking?
Four things: the real number of bedrooms and bathrooms behind the advertised bed count; the complete price, extras and deposit included; the exact distances in minutes to the beaches; and whether the property is enclosed and exclusive or shared with other occupants.
When is the best time to rent in southern Corsica?
June and September offer the best compromise: warm sea, a breathable island, low or mid-season rates. July and August give the high-season atmosphere at twice the budget, with beaches saturated between eleven and five.
Do you need a car for a villa stay?
Almost always yes. Villas with character are rarely in town centres, and distances run to tens of minutes. From Villa Terra, allow ten minutes for the commune's beaches, fifteen for Porto-Vecchio and thirty-five for Figari airport. The concierge arranges transfers.
How many people does a luxury villa take?
It varies enormously, and the advertised figure deserves scrutiny. Villa Terra sleeps fourteen guests in five bedrooms, plus a maximum of four in a self-contained lower-level studio, for eighteen in total. The detail is on the capacity page.
What does the rate of a private villa include?
Here: the whole villa and all its spaces, electricity, water, pool heating, Wi-Fi and household linen, plus coordination by the concierge. Private chef, daily housekeeping, transfers and treatments are extra, at published prices.
